Responsibilities
Performs supervisory responsibilities in the operation of multiple accounting systems, purchasing systems and administrative functions of an organization. Supervises and reviews accounting analyses, preparation of reports, and interpretation of accounting results, and advises management on the meaning. Develops and maintains accounting policies and procedures for a location(s) or organization(s). Responsible for understanding the Company's policies, procedures, and management actions to ensure compliance. This position will be responsible for activities related to the accounting functions at recently acquired manufacturing locations. This will include extensive travel to provide onsite support and training to new personnel.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. Typically more than 7 years of experience in related job function; May require professional certification. Broad, in-depth understanding of accounting principles, theories, concepts, and practices of the business unit. Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting applications. Demonstrated supervisory experience in the accounting area, financial accounting experience, month-end book closing experience, management accounting skills (transforming financial information into usable management information), a strong desire to work in mills and with mill management to improve the financial performance of the facility, flexibility to travel from one mill to another as needed and on a regular (day to day) basis, skills and desire to train and develop people, have the potential to over time move into a more senior position. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with management at all levels.
