DUTIES:
Through the use of Total Quality Management problem-solving techniques in routine job activities and team settings, performs all responsibilities
in a manner which ensures the quality expectations of every customer, both internal and external, are met and exceeded. Measures critical
product/process variables, records or reports using appropriate TQM tools and utilizes information to continuously improve. If unable to maintain
processes within established limits or meet specifications, is fully authorized to stop the operation and seek assistance.
All team members are responsible for using knowledge, abilities, skills, and experiences; working with other associates to insure their
team reaches chartered objectives. Showing respect for others, living the principles of the team's ground rules, using consensus decision making,
personally sacrificing for the team's benefit, sharing in the team's workload, taking responsibility for action items, following good meeting processes,
and sharing credit and praise for team success are all requirements of employment.
Responsible to the Plant Manager for the safe, efficient performance of all assigned duties.
1. Responsible for safe job practices as outlined in the job safety analysis.
2. Has knowledge of mechanical and structural drawings.
3. Has fair knowledge of shop mathematics and strength of materials.
4. Has practical knowledge of electricity, hydraulics and carpentry.
5. Uses acetylene and electric welding equipment.
6. Has good knowledge of safe use of and take excellent care of tools such as drill press, power cutoff saw, grinders, blade sharpeners, portable
drill and common hand tools.
7. Responsible for preventative maintenance of all plant operating equipment plus fork trucks, air compressor, and truck.
8. Responsible for performing minor repairs to plant equipment.
9. Responsible for reporting any unsafe conditions to Plant Manger.
10. Assignments may include sizing, roll catching, baling, general housekeeping.
11. Keeps work area clean and orderly.
12. Responsible for updating general skills and knowledge through maintenance wage administration program. Understands the various levels
of maintenance positions and evaluation process.
