Job Description:

The Role:

The Associate Director, Global Transparency Operations will lead Moderna's HCP/HCO payment disclosure efforts including designing and implementing a transparency reporting program to comply with US Federal Sunshine, state law, and other country reporting requirements as required. The role is responsible for Moderna's operational readiness and timely and accurate spend data capture in support of global transfer of value reporting requirements.

Here's What You'll Do:


  • Build a transparency reporting function, then lead the operational execution of global transparency reporting. This includes US Federal Sunshine, US state law, and other country reporting requirements.


  • Oversee data capture from source systems.


  • Design and implement routine and consistent data reconciliation.


  • Design and execute communication plan with key stakeholders.


  • Implement dispute resolution processes.


  • Ensure all data sources are documented and all teams are trained on reporting processes.


  • Develop, update and monitor adherence to transparency operations procedures.


  • Monitor and proactively identify and address potential gaps or risk areas related to data quality, and compliance regulations, guidelines and trends.


  • Build and run data analyses on transparency data to help ensure completeness and accuracy.


  • Research and generate insights based on the data; for example, trend and outlier analysis to identify areas for further research or remediation.


  • Identify process gaps and work with key stakeholders on corrective measures.


  • Create and maintain documentation for new and existing transparency processes.


  • Map upstream/source data processes to review for opportunities and improvement related to transparency data capture.


Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:


  • BA/BS in a field related to compliance or risk management.


  • Masters or other relevant advanced degree preferred.


  • 3-5+ years of diversified biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience, including a minimum of 3 years of direct experience in transparency reporting (not functional management).


  • Experience building and leading efforts for US and ex-US Transparency HCP/O payment disclosure.


  • In depth knowledge of federal, state, and global transparency laws.


  • Knowledge of transparency reporting in other countries.


  • Comfortable working with extremely tight timelines; willing to both go the extra mile and clearly inform senior management of risks and potential mitigations.


  • Experience with MS Office suite primarily focusing on Excel, including proficiency with analyzing large sets of data using formulas such as VLOOKUP, logical tests and pivot tables.


  • Demonstrated willingness to roll up sleeves to do the work vs. manage, while building out the functional capabilities.


  • Ability to interact collaboratively, yet objectively with all levels of management.


  • Ability to prioritize and direct limited resources to the most critical areas and issues; build solid, collaborative working relationships across multiple functions; and drive improvement initiatives with a sense of urgency.


  • Working knowledge of major business processes and issues related to transparency reporting within the bio-pharmaceutical industry.


  • Solid knowledge of transparency reporting frameworks and a passion to continuously improve.
