Counter Sales Associate - Full Time - Store 82 at Spectrum Paint Company, Inc. in Charleston, South Carolina

We are currently seeking applicants for a full-time Counter Sales Associate positions at our new location in Charleston, SC (2467 Savannah Hwy, Ste 100). Store Hours 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday and 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Saturday.   Closed on Sundays.

• Ensuring that high customer service standards are maintained and customer issues are quickly and efficiently resolved.


• Assist customers in person and over the phone with questions/orders regarding architectural, commercial, and industrial paint products and coating materials.


• Process orders by mixing/tinting products to customer specifications and pulling materials from the warehouse.


• Management experience or potential preferred.


• Loading and unloading materials for customers and loading and unloading the delivery vehicle.


• Making deliveries to customers or clients in a safe and efficient manner (Company Vehicle will be utilized for deliveries).


• Miscellaneous tasks around the paint store such as stocking, cleaning, organizing, filing, etc.


• Other duties as assigned by Store Management or Regional Store Operations Manager.

Salary negotiable - based on experience.

This position will qualify for our benefits package available after a 60-day introductory period: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, Long, and Short Term Disability, as well as paid vacation, sick, and holiday leave. Eligibility rules differ depending on the benefit. 

• Must be punctual, attendance is very important!


• Valid Driver's License with the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record background check.


• Must be able to drive a vehicle safely


• Excellent customer service skills and teamwork skills


• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment


• Must be a team player


• Capable of passing a drug test and background check


• Ability to lift and carry 70 pounds frequently


• Basic computer skills and math skills


• Must be able to distinguish the difference between colors


• High school diploma or comparable certification (GED)


• Bilingual preferred - (Spanish/English)


• Prior experience in delivery, retail sales, cashiering, or customer service position a plus but will train. 

This job does require standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, walking, gripping, reaching overhead, lifting, climbing stairs, gripping, and carrying the product to and from delivery vehicles frequently.

Experience in any of the following fields is ideal, however, we are willing to train: paint industry, construction, or experience with architectural, commercial, or industrial coatings.
