Georgia-Pacific’s Corrugated Division is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager for the Division Manufacturing Excellence Team. This role will utilize leadership, influence, operations experience and communication abilities to analyze and identify change improvement opportunities related to people, process, and systems across multiple GP Corrugated facilities. They will work with project team members and site team members in capturing strategic value opportunities and implementing proven operating practices within a core set of designated workstreams: Management Systems; Organization; Production; and Asset Care. Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to coach several levels of leadership at all levels within the organization. Continuous Improvement Manager’s will influence long-term improved profitability through innovation with the implementation of MBM® Culture and Strategic Platforms. The position will be home-based and requires 75% travel.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Developing, influencing, and successfully executing change initiatives resulting in significant operational improvement


• Ensuring consistency of vision and expectations to create maximum asset utilization, effectiveness of operations and create the highest benefit of our businesses


• Spending time on the shop floor to obtain knowledge of and capabilities to evaluate and deal with emerging issues


• Utilizing project management skills that deliver intended scope on-time and within budget


• Developing and maintaining effective partnerships with key capabilities at customer sites


• Facilitating FMEAs, RCAs, value stream mapping, or similar processes


• Generating ideas with ability to coordinate resources for implementation towards a successful outcome

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• Five years or more of leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting including direct experience in asset performance or maintenance/reliability improvement


• Experience developing, influencing, and successfully executing change initiatives resulting in significant operational improvement

What Will Put You Ahead

• Corrugated or Containerboard manufacturing operations leadership experience
• Knowledge of Corrugator operation and processes
• 6-Sigma, TPM or Lean Manufacturing certification
