The primary responsibility of this position is to be a trusted technology learning partner for Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) and Commercial Bank (CB) to execute the Global Technology learning strategy in accordance with identified business priorities. In partnership with the business and HR, this role is a key enabler in the ability of Global Technology achieving its vision of creating an inspired and engaged technology workforce, which focuses on deepening expertise and accelerating skill development to meet business demand and transform the way technology operates.

This role is the strategic point of contact for the function and the Tech centers and has accountability for identifying opportunities to drive globally consistent learning solutions. This learning leader should be results driven, forward looking and collaborative, driving the adoption of the latest learning solutions by being current on recent industry trends and partnering with the Learning Solution Center, Shared Services, HR Partners, Hub Leads and Business Stakeholders to deliver.

This role reports into the Head of Technology Learning for Digital, Operations and Technology (DOT) Learning.

Core Responsibilities


  • Establishes CIB and CB Technology learning strategies to optimally support business objectives and build technical skills as informed and aligned to Global Technology's software modernization efforts.
  • Partners with aligned senior leader(s) of one or more sub-Line of Business or LOB function(s) to execute the global learning strategy in accordance with identified digital and technology capabilities and priorities.
  • Becomes thoroughly familiar with aligned client direction, strategy, initiatives and expectations to ensure the learning strategy delivers business value
  • Oversees measurement and evaluation strategy to gauge learning strategy effectiveness and business impact, communicates results
  • Partners effectively across Learning groups (e.g. Center of Excellence) to ensure timely and effective development and seamless implementation of learning solutions
  • Stays abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, product offering and client direction to anticipate and accommodate shifts in the business need and priorities

Qualifications, Experience & Attributes


  • Graduate with appropriate Financial Services / HR / Learning & Development or Business degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in Banking / Financial Services of which at least 2 should be in a similar role & profile.
  • Strong experience in training design / solutions utilizing multiple approaches (classroom, web ex, e-learning, communities of practice etc.)
  • Proven consulting, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong executive presence with and ability to deliver succinct impactful messaging
  • Proven business knowledge of supported functions / Lines of Business
  • Proven ability to embrace change and quickly learn the applicability of new concepts specifically related to the application of digital technologies (e.g. Cloud, Robotics, Machine Learning, Big Data)
