Job Description

This role is for an IT Senior Manager within our Digital Program Office organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for the PMO team. Team responsibilities include both business and IT facing deliverables, such as Strategic Planning, Financial Management, Vendor Management, Software Management, Contractor Management, Continuous Improvement initiatives, Metrics & Scorecards, Strategic Partnerships, as well as Planning, Operations and Governance for the Application Solutions for the Technology organization.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for enabling program and product management methodology to deliver quality technology solutions for global applications. Help support transition from project management to product management maturation as needed.


  • Ensure agile adoption is matured in the organization. Defines agile roadmap with strategic goals.


  • Tight prioritization and sequencing including orchestration of cross product/team dependencies. Single demand signal, supply and capacity plan


  • Provide the single point of metrics and scorecard across all of IT investments


  • Ensure the project and product life cycle is monitored throughout including the benefit realization.


  • Optimize the tools footprint for project and product management.


  • Enables Delivery of Information Technology solutions for global applications.


  • Enable proactive IT solutions to drive business growth and profitability.


  • Investment Planning and Operations leader for the Digital PMO organization within DTS organization.


  • Financial responsibilities, including budgeting, financial tracking, and cost optimization activities for the investments in Application Solutions organizations.


  • Recommend and drive the prioritization of IT decisions for the global businesses to ensure world class delivery and value for our IT investment.


  • Deep understanding of management of Software Maintenance, Licensing, and Subscriptions for the entire corporation.


  • Insight and understanding on “best practices” and keeping pace with competition and peer companies related to software development best practices and tools. 


  • Help the capability teams drive continuous improvement through tracking of operational, and developmental metrics, and scorecards and presentations.


  • Extensive collaboration with other IT Delivery Teams to ensure high performance of the global application portfolio.


  • Support strategic partnerships through organization of regular business review meetings.


  • Assist with vendor management. 


  • Direct and drive the Enabling Capabilities team to ever increasing performance levels, with a focus on enabling the entire Digital PPMO organization.


Essential Functions:


  • Global Portfolio Management – Define, analyze, and deliver business initiatives in accordance with business and IT priorities and annual budgets. Business-IT Strategy – Promote and support the long-range IT systems plan consistent with business objectives.  Support and facilitate the alignment of corporate IT strategy to business strategies. BPO relationship.


  • Management – Represent the face of IT to the customer.  Identify technology opportunities which provide strategic/tactical advantages in planning, managing and conducting the business.  Engage with key customers and other external business partners to deliver IT solutions in a high quality, globally conscious manner. Build Talent – Promote and build global leaders, develop staff with the needed functional and technical skills required to meet K-C’s growing application portfolio and changing technology needs. 


Minimum Requirements:


  • B.S., B.A. degree.  A master’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required.


  • 7-10 years of equivalent experience in information technology leading, remote, global teams.


  • Demonstrated skills in application delivery, client relationship management, business knowledge, intuition and judgment, strong communications and collaboration.


  • Strong experience with budgets, financial tracking, and cost optimization.


  • Strong sense of urgency in delivering results.


  • High cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.


  • Significant experience working with outsource partners.


  • Strong facilitation skills required.


  • Strong vision and resiliency.


  • Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory.


  • Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance, cultures, and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines, and may extend outside the K-C organization including suppliers, partners, and customers.


Organizational Relationships / Scope:


  • Personnel: Global team with 7-11 Direct Reports, along with contingent labor management responsibilities.


  • Budget: Position reports to the Director Program Management Office under the Technology Performance and Effectiveness team, and has budget responsibility for a large investment portfolio for Digital Technology Solution area for K-C.
