Our Private Client Services (PCS) Tax practice seeks an experienced Tax professional to join our team as a Tax Senior. You will provide the highest levels of client service excellence while collaborating with other tax professionals and valued clients in this practice. The PCS practice deals with family-owned businesses, high net worth individuals and families and the trusts, estates and companies that generate their income and wealth transfer between generations. Clients that are serviced by the PCS group are located throughout the country and the world.
While the preferred location for this position is our New York office, this position can take place in any of our U.S. office locations.

Professional Responsibilities:
Provide tax compliance and advisory services to a variety of clients that include: family-owned businesses, high net worth individuals and families, trusts and estates, companies that generate their income and wealth transfer between generations
Prepare and review income tax returns, including related schedules and forms
Lead the overall engagement planning and execution of assigned client engagements, including budget
Delegation of engagement assignments to maximize efficiency & effectiveness, achieve quality goals, maintain productivity, and maximize utilization and realization
Conduct tax research using CCH, Axcess and other applicable tax software programs
Communicate on behalf of clients with the IRS, state and local authorities and represent clients at any potential tax audits
Advise clients on critical issues that impact their financial portfolio and provide solutions and quality tax service to the clients' satisfaction
Develop and sustain superior client relationships in the PCS client niche
Supervise and review the work product of other less experienced tax staff on assigned engagements
Keep firm partners and managers informed of the progress of engagement and address any material issues that may arise
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or a Business-related field of study
An advanced tax degree (MST, JD, LLM) is preferred
CPA license, EA certification or the pursuit of either designation
3-5 years of relevant tax experienceworking in a CPA firm, a professional services firm or a tax consulting practice
Work experience with family-owned businesses, high net worth individuals and families, and wealth transfer issues
Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
Working knowledge of CCH Axcess and other tax preparation and research software programs
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills
Ability to work extra hours when needed and travel to client locations when required
