Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Ability to operate all equipment to maximize quality, safety and productivity.
- Monitor and adjust machinery and equipment as required or directed.
- PM equipment – i.e. grease, oil, check fluid levels, etc.
- Perform minor trouble shooting and repair.
- Data entry and review.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment including 5S and housekeeping.
- Operate a fork truck and small overhead crane.
- Problem solve and support continual improvements of the process.
- Accurate measurement with micrometers, calipers and other devices.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime based on production needs.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Language skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and comprehend SOP’s and work instructions.
- Must be physically able to perform all job functions
- Must be willing and able to cross-train in all lab areas
- Strong Computer skills
- Detail oriented
- Strong mechanical aptitude
Required: 2 years of experience working as a lab technician or machinist.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
