A Non- Profit Hospital in Scenic New Mexico is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Specialist to join their Clinical Education team


This Medical Center is known in Southern New Mexico for its reputation of offering top tier patient care. This facility offers high quality patient care over a wide range of services, including Oncology, Cardiology, PICU, Neurology, and Emergency Services.


Reporting to the Director of Clinical Education the Nursing Professional Development Specialist will be responsible for the professional development and quality assessment of the nurses throughout the facility. The Nurse Educator will work with the Nurse Managers of individual units to develop curriculum and continuous education for current department staff and new-hires and focus on utilizing the most advanced evidence-based best practices, technologies and techniques.


The Professional Development Specialist of Nursing will work closely with other members of the educational team to facilitate and evaluate new and continuing education programs. This position also provides orientation and in-service education to clinical and support personnel within the facility. While maintaining oversight of educational responsibilities, the  Nursing Professional Development Specialist will act as a resource to the medical staff, department managers and administrative team.
