Rennco, based in Homer, MI, manufactures semi-automatic and fully automatic vertical bagging systems as well as medical device heat sealing machines.  Job Objective:

The Sales Representative contributes to company success by developing leads, establishing & maintaining productive customer relationships, and closing business to achieve targeted sales goals.  Sales Representatives demonstrate an entrepreneurial and positive attitude combined with the appropriate technical and inter-personal skills. They are a motivated, self-starter, with a strong desire to achieve personal and professional growth. The sales rep will have a solutions selling approach to customer projects and be comfortable working in a team selling environment in support of closing business.

 Job Description:


  • Learn the Rennco product line, its customer base, and its competitors.

  • Maintain and enhance established customer accounts by providing innovative sales support in a professional and profitable manner.

  • Develop new accounts from leads and prospecting efforts

  • Research and prospect for potential customers (phone calls, e-mails, conferences and tradeshows, network within the industry.

  • Follow up on leads in timely manner.

  • Prepare sales proposals, power point presentations, and solutions

  • Negotiate sales contracts

  • Stay abreast of new technology, market developments, appropriate standards, and competitor offerings and keep current trends from both market and technical standpoints.

  • Coordinate activities with other sales team members to maximize the sale of Rennco products.

  • Prepare (in coordination with others) a Strategic Action Plan and Tactical Action Plan that leads to attainment of the annual sales forecast and is aligned with the values, vision, and practices of the company.

  • Conduct yourself with the highest ideal in ethics and integrity.

Job Requirements:


  • Packaging and Capital equipment experience needed. Knowledge of FSD industry packaging industries and its applications preferred

  • Ability to identify customer needs and match requirements with company solutions and services

  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well with employees and Distributors.

  • Must have a “Sales Manager’s” mentality with the understanding that success through other people’s performance is vital to the job.

  • Must have polished presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Must possess top-level business management, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.

  • Must be available for, and comfortable with, extensive business travel.

  • Must have working capabilities with electronic communications tools and be comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.

  • Must have experience in Sales Force-Customer Relation Management tool
