The Biomedical Equipment Technician works under the direction of the Manager of Biomedical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering Lead Technician. This associate is responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating and verifying the performance of all classes of clinical equipment independent of technical supervision.
Position Requirements
Associate degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics or equivalent technical training in electronics required.
Knowledge of safety codes, standards, and basic knowledge of patient care equipment as defined by JCAHO, AAMI, NFPA, and other pertinent organizations.
Minimum two (2) years experience in Biomedical Engineering service desired.
