Summary/Objective:  
Rogers Corporation is seeking a Market Development Manager within Advanced Connectivity Solutions (ACS), primarily responsible for establishing Rogers as a market share leader in a rapidly growing High Speed Digital market.  This position will involve management of direct resources as well as management by influence.  This role will develop and implement technical and commercial strategies to establish market position and accelerate profitable business growth.
 
Essential Functions: 
 
North American Market Development


  1. Understand and quantify the value that Rogers' current or future solutions can provide in the High Speed Digital market.

  2. Develop and drive the execution of an effective segment business plan.  Key components of this plan will include portfolio definition and prioritization, pricing, promotion and appropriate sales channel as well as identifying and ensuring availability of required internal and partner resources. 


  3. Market intelligence:

    • Manage collection and assessment of competitive information and market trends.

    • Identify and assess new competitors in current or new market areas; develop appropriate competitive strategies.




  4. Assess and understand alternative out-of-kind technology approaches and develop and execute strategies to address opportunities and threats.  Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with key individuals and organizations throughout the value chain from our suppliers through to the customers of our customers.    

  5. Generate and deliver internal and external communications that articulate the Needs, Benefits, Features, and Proofs of Rogers' solutions


Product Line and Segment Management 


  1. Coordinates with product line and segment management to create and manage a High Speed Digital specific product line. 


New Product Development


  1. Establishes product roadmaps, CTQ’s and segment-specific business cases to support divisional new product design, development, and complete market introduction through Rogers' R&D processes, working with global development resources to achieve defined customer CTQs and business financial goals.

  Required Education and Experience: 


  • BS Engineering/Science 

  • 5+ years' experience working in the high-speed digital market with strong preference for technical marketing or business development experience at High Speed Digital OEM.

  • Demonstrated strong capability for technical learning.

  • Demonstrated capability in presenting to and interacting with key customers.

  • Demonstrated skill and passion for entrepreneurial activities.


Required Skills and Abilities: 
Ability to travel 30% - 40%

  • MBA or comparable market development experience 

  • Competitive intelligence experience 

  • Team building experience
