Your day.

As an OR Assistant you need to know how to:

• Communicate various information to surgical staff and physicians


• Greet patients/families, verify patient identity for surgery and transport same to and from operating room


• Transport specimens and cultures to laboratory


• Perform miscellaneous errands such as stocking supplies, picking up supplies, and similar duties


• Performs cleaning and disinfection procedures in the operating room


• Set up of specialty OR beds

Your experience.

• High School diploma or equivalent, required


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, required


• At least one (1) year of experience in a setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility or department, preferred
