Job Summary:
Maintenance Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that centers are maintained in a compliant, safe, functional and comfortable condition. Individual is responsible for direct oversight of maintenance technician activities at centers as assigned. Individual is responsible for reacting to emergency situations as they arise and dispatching appropriate technicians or service providers. The Maintenance Supervisor will identify and manage service providers performing reactive maintenance and repair services. In addition, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for mentoring technicians, providing training as directed by the Regional Facilities Manager, coaching and performance management of technicians.
Essential Functions:
Provide direct supervision and leadership to direct reporting technicians as directed by the Regional Facilities Manager
Act as Technical advisor and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to assigned group of Technicians
Inspect ongoing maintenance at the centers assigned to Technicians in their area of responsibility/market.
Establish customer service standards and relationships with Center Directors and District Managers
Organize and track work orders, van GPS, surveys and special projects for their Region
Operate appropriate tools and technology (laptop, cell phone, tablet, etc.) for the purpose of completing work related task, communication, collecting work orders, producing schedules, submitting time records, etc.
Operate and maintain a company vehicle for the purpose of completing assigned tasks
Manage purchases and other financial decisions as designated by the Regional Facilities Manager, such as purchasing card use and Company designated supply vendor.
Travel extensively within and possibly outside their primary area of responsibility/market
Attend other RFM and OPS Region meetings
Write Projects and manage the communication for the projects.
Provide input in the hiring of new Technicians as well as input for corrective actions and appraisals
Participate in national RFM and Technician meetings
Maintain Certified Playground Safety Instruction (CPSI) status
Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience Requirements:
3 years' experience as Technician - Exception must approved by the Director of Facilities
Has displayed the ability to manage, mentor and coach
Has exhibited the ability to be a leader of a team
Self- motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Competent with the Microsoft Office Suite
Competent in developing Scopes of Work and inputing the data to the Project Management System
Certified Playground Safety Inspector Certificate required. If not currently certified, certification to be completed within 90 days of hiring/promotion at KCE expense.
HVAC certification preferred
