Job Description:

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with development feature teams to ensure good SDLC and engineering practices are followed
• Promote devops practices focusing mainly on Automation, CI/CD and telemetry
• Overseeing the application modernization agenda and accountable to management .
• Drive technical innovation and efficiency in infrastructure operations via developing tools and automation
• Create processes and/or tools that enhance operational workflow and provide positive customer impact
• Respond to and resolve service problems; build tools and automation to prevent problem recurrence
• Develop tools and utilities that provide telemetry and product usage metrics
• Adaption of new toolchains and promoting them to dev feature teams .
• Promoting TDD/BDD development

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelors or higher level degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
• 5 plus years of experience and expert level proficiency with at least one programming/scripting languages such as Java, NodeJS and Python
• 5 plus years of experience in developing enterprise applications with Spring framework and ORM tools like Hibernate.
• 3 plus years of RDBMS development experience ( SQL , Oracle)
• Experience in the design and implementation of scalable APIs
• Experience in the design and implementation of CI/CD pipeline processes; automated build and test systems (e.g. Jenkins / Spinnaker)
• Good Understanding of Behavior driven development (BDD) and working proficiency in Automation developmental toolsets like Cucumber Framework
• Experience in developing test automation with frameworks such as Cucumber , Fitnesse , Selinium
• Experience with the following development and build tools (or similar): IntelliJ/Eclipse, Maven, BitBucket/Git/Gitflow
• Knowledge with Docker containers and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Cloud providers such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform services etc.
• Experience in modern software development lifecycle and with DEVOPS mentality and test driven development approaches.
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
