Everybody is somebody here. Representing the very best in healthcare, UT Health East Texas is comprised of 10 hospitals and more than 50 clinics across east Texas.  With nearly 7,500 employees and over 1,000 licensed in-patient beds, UT Health East Texas provides healthcare services to thousands of patients annually through our hospitals, clinics, Level 1 trauma facility, air emergency fleet and EMS service in a metropolitan service area of a quarter-million people. Our Tyler hospital is seeking an experienced Patient Transporter.  We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills in our Admitting Department where you will be responsible for: What You Will Be Doing:
   
   
   1. Transports patients to Radiology from all floors and areas of the hospital. 
   
   
   2. Process films and makes copies when needed. 
   
   
   3. Cleans and stocks wheelchairs and carts with proper supplies, helps to transfer patients to and from beds, tables, and carts. 
   
   
   4. Transports patients of all ages (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).
   
   
   
   

• High school graduate or equivalent


• Customer friendly


• Ability to read and write


• Correctly performs assigned tasks


• Ability to work under stressful conditions and to work irregular hours

• The ability to lift, push, and/or pull heavy objects (patients, carts, and / or beds)


• The ability to constantly walk, stand, bend, reach and/or stoop


• Ability to see and hear to normal range with correction

• Comply with regulatory requirements, guidelines, and policies
