Summary:

The Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) is seeking an innovative, and highly motivated Financial Planning and Analysis II for the San Diego, California business.

The selected candidate will be mainly responsible for supporting the FP&A Lead and collaborating across multiple functional organizations for monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting requirements. The selected candidate must also be able to work under deadlines and constraints as well as have the ability to multitask across multiple Product Lines.

Responsibilities

Support FP&A Lead with closing activities
• Help consolidation and review of program financial metrics


• Assist in building monthly Forecast (Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow)


• Assist in the consolidation of monthly Operations Review


• Development, consolidation, and analyzing yearly and long-range strategic forecast plan


• Development, analyze and negotiate of all rates and factors


• Tracking and evaluating functional budgets, B&P, IRAD, capital, ROI and Net Working Capital


• Affordability analysis - Identification of risks and opportunities


• Support government (DCAA, DCMA), internal and external audits


• Special projects and ad hoc analysis

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Bachelor's degree


• 2+ years of financial analysis experience


• Must have 2+ years of advanced MS Excel including vlookups, pivot tables, sumif 

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Accounting


• 2 - 4 years financial analysis focusing on Financial Planning and Analysis or Program Finance 


• Prior work experience in the aerospace and defense industry


• Demonstrated ability to be proactive, creative, and innovative and use critical and strategic thinking


• Demonstrated ability to establish processes to drive efficiencies and improve performance


• Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment


• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)


• Demonstrated sense of urgency and ability to meet multiple commitments as expected


• Budgeting and variance analysis


• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
