Job Description:

Maintains the physical functionality of the facilities including guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas. Performs a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, HVAC and masonry. Inspects guestrooms, public space and heart-of-the-house for needed and preventive maintenance. Records and reports completed repairs and items that need further attention or that require placing a room 'out of order.'

What will I be doing?

• Requires light trouble shooting abilities for a variety of different types of machinery and equipment like HVAC, electricity, plumbing, carpentry work and occasionally janitorial or lawn maintenance.
  
  
• Performs a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, HVAC and masonry.
  
  
• Inspects guestrooms, public space and heart-of-the-house for needed and preventive maintenance.
  
  
• Records and reports completed repairs and items that need further attention or that require placing a room "out of order".
  
  
• Must be able to respond quickly, sometimes 24 hours a day, and troubleshoot using instruction manuals, blue prints and necessary tools.
  
  
• Requires both indoor and outdoor work and sometimes lifting heavy loads, so you will need to be reasonably fit and agile.
  
  
• Must ensure constant awareness of safety and accident prevention.

To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

• High School Diploma, minimum education required
  
  
• Vocational and/or Technical School diploma, required
  
  
• 3 years of experience in the same role within this or a similar industry
  
  
• Plumbing, carpentry, electrical, mechanical and/or HVAC knowledge or experience
  
  
• Dexterity, customer service and trouble shooting skills, industrial control and the ability to operate equipment such as cutters, pullers and power saws
  
  

It would be advantageous in this position to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• HVAC Certified Technician
  
  
• Certified Electrician
  
  
• Master Welder Certification
  
  
• Other relevant certifications in this field
