JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for performing a variety of routine daily tasks, such as processing client wire requests, identifying incoming wires and reconciling daily outgoing and incoming wires for Warehouse Lending Division (WLD). It is required that you have a thorough knowledge of the Company’s policies and procedures. Ensures daily transactions are processed smoothly at Warehouse Lending level.  Helps to ensure internal controls, policies, and mechanisms comply with standard industry practices, regulatory guidelines, and senior management’s recommendations and/or directions. Performs all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  1. Process Warehouse Lending client wire requests including entering wire data in WireXchange and notifying clients of the transaction completion. 

  2. Identify incoming wires and pay-down the proper loan in the warehouse loan system.

  3. Process internal transfer transactions between client accounts at Banc of California and WLD GL account.

  4. Reconcile daily incoming and outgoing wires for WLD.  Research and solve any wire discrepancies.

  5.  Review and verify loan funding wire requests in WireXchange.

  6. Assist with collateral receipt and shipping as needed.

  7. Consistently apply decision making techniques pertaining to inquiries, approvals and requests as they apply to existing policies and procedures, keeping within assigned approval limit.

  8. Support audit project such as research wire transfer supporting documentation.

  9. Ensures excellent internal and external communication with clients and coworkers.

    • Effective organizational and time management skills.

    • Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

    • Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position.

    • Intermediate math skills; calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.

    • Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, and speak clearly to customers and employees.

    • Ensures excellent internal and external communication with clients and coworkers.

    • Ability to work with general supervision while performing duties.

    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting Preferred or relevant work experience.

    • 1 - 2 Years of work related experience should consist of a credit or loan processing background.  Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or financial industry related curriculum, should be business or financial industry related.

    • Prior banking experience preferred but not required.

    • Prior mortgage experience preferred, but not required.
