JOB SUMMARY
The Manager of Professional Development provides program level leadership for developing employees at [Company Name] to include leadership education, clinical education, evidenced based practice, and clinical standards (with the exception of FAA certificate related operational control). They function as a resource for all employees and leads from an 'ownership' (not 'renter') mindset and accepts responsibility and accountability. They also assist, as needed, with other Professional Development Manager's projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
* Participates in the implementation of medical education for initial training and continued education.
* Assist in the development of policies/procedures and medical treatment guidelines utilizing current evidenced based practices.
* Assist in the development of simulation training scenarios and obtains approval for use from CAMTS. Directs and attends all quarterly HPS labs for assigned bases.
* Follows up on all medical crews on orientation/precepted at assigned bases. Assists with interview processes as requested.
* Adheres to the Company policies and procedures, regulatory and legal requirements and CAMTS standards.
* Contributes to the development and implementation of the medical preceptors' roles and responsibilities and oversees the assignment of medical preceptors within the organization.
* Participates in the corporate medical education committee meetings. Assists with development of and ensures a shared governance environment for committees.
* Continually drives excellence through process improvement, education and risk management.
* Participates in the company's response to and mitigation of any significant negative event as assigned.
* Serves as a role model and mentor for medical crews. Attends classes, training, or meetings necessary to maintain knowledge of advances in safety, communications, regulations, reimbursement, marketing, management, and equipment development.
* Maintains thorough knowledge of CAMTS standards. Participates in activities that promote professional growth and self-development.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years of healthcare industry experience
* Minimum 3 years of critical care experience
* Maintains current licensure/certification in applicable states required for RN, Paramedic. or RT credentialed managers.
* Specialty certification (CFRN, FP-C, NPS/ACCS) required for RN
* Paramedic, or RT credentialted managers

* Bachelor's Degree
