Welder Fabricator

Johns Manville, a diversified manufacturing company, has an opening at our Tucson facility. We are hiring a Welder/Fabricator. We value our employees; provide a safe and clean work environment and a competitive wage and benefits package.

The applicant should meet or exceed the following qualifications:

• Understand and use safe working practices.


• High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of a welding apprenticeship program or a technical certificate preferred.


• Welder/Fabricator experienced with Tig & Mig equipment. TIG welding experience is required.


• Experience with breaks, shears, and other metal forming tools.


• Experience welding, steel, stainless, aluminum and their alloys, from 10 ga to ½" and greater thicknesses.


• Must pass our welding test.


• Ability to read blueprints and make parts from a print.


• Familiar using calipers, tape measures, and other standard measuring equipment.


• Experience using forklifts, cranes, and the physical ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.


• Basic computer skills preferred.


• Ability to work different shifts.

• Work closely with EH&S. Make sure OSHA and environmental requirements are being followed throughout the facility.


• Keep informed of all JSAs on all Fabrication equipment and be confident you are aware of all changes.


• Operate Welders, Shears, Brakes and other fabrication equipment and hand tools safely.


• Operate lifting equipment, including cranes, hoists and forklifts, safely lifting and moving parts and material.


• Qualifications

• We are a 24-hour operation. Applicants willing to work 2nd shift and other shifts are preferred.
