Test Technician 

Job Description:

This is an entry-level engineering technician position that is available on the Corporate R&D team.  The individual will be responsible for test and measurement of devices, primarily for MACOM's GaAs, GaN and Si based-technology, in support of technology development, application model development, and device design.  On-the-job training and career growth opportunities will be provided.

 

Specific Responsibilities: 

  • Characterize semiconductor devices and ICs from RF to millimeter wave - test including DC, pulsed IV, S-parameter, noise and large-signal to support modeling team, technology development and application support
  • Analysis of test data
  • Customize and develop test software to simplify and automate a wide of variety of electrical characterization

 

Qualifications / Skills: 

  • Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Between 0-3 years relevant experience
  • Experience with test lab equipment such as power supplies, SMU's, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers
  • Experience with on wafer probing and RF test
  • Experience with load/source pull measurements
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and plotting
  • Understanding of semiconductor devices
  • Basic proficiency with Linux shell and basic scripting, programming experience in Python a plus
