Job Description:

What does the Admissions and Marketing Director do?:

This role is dynamic, outward facing, and fast-paced! In this role, you would be working with our Nursing Home Administrator, Director of Nursing and other admissions team members at our care center to bring residents to live with us. You would have daily meetings with discharge planners and community representatives in assessing the needs of prospective residents while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and the confidentiality of residents.

In this job, every day you will...

1. Exercise ethical and sound decisions in carrying out the admissions work of the facility and works with respective departments to coordinate all admissions.

2. Develop professional relationship with discharge coordinators and caseworkers, responding to all callers and visitors inquiring about admission.

3. Develop and implement plans to promote facility to community hospitals and agencies in accordance with Prestige marketing plans and as recommended by the regional marketing director.

4. Screen and coordinate admissions taking into account accommodation for the individual needs of residents and provides referrals for alternative placement when necessary.

5. Completes required paperwork with the resident or resident's agent and communicates admission information orally and in writing to the admissions team does follow-up with the resident and resident's family or agent.

6. Work with the health care team to identify resident care goals in order to assure that adequate resources, environments, and services are provided to residents, meeting regularly with health care team to assure highest practicable care will be delivered.

7. Ensure residents' dignity and right to privacy and that residents are free from sexual abuse, physical abuse, mental abuse, corporal punishment, exploitation, neglect and involuntary seclusion.

8. Work with the administrator and admissions team to ensure that personnel are available in number and ability to attain or maintain the highest practicable level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well being for the resident that meets the state and federal regulations.

Education Experience you need to qualify:

* A minimum of two years' experience in a geriatric setting/senior care.

* Excellent written and oral communication and motivational skills.

* Ability to creatively problem-solve resident care situations.

* Experience with marketing plans, budgeting, and public relations helpful.

* Individual must be a team player, well organized and flexible.

* Licensed Respiratory Therapist, Social Worker, Associate Degree in Nursing or Licensed Practical Nurse preferred.
