The Senior Project Manager defines, leads and implements projects and programs related to new business applications and systems as well as enhancements to existing applications. They are responsible for assembling the project team, defining the scope, budget, and resource needs, and manage cross-functional collaboration and interdependencies across a group of projects and/or related activities. This Sr. Project Manager functions as a liaison between IT and the Business stakeholders, and act as the owner to represent the entire project/program from planning, deployment and release to operations.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

Required Education and Experience
  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or equivalent experience, Master's Degree / MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience managing one or more medium to high complexity business/IT infrastructure/application projects/programs/portfolios
  • Brings hands-on business analysis and project management expertise. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from Project Management Institute and / or Scrum Master certification strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in managing Mergers & Acquisition desired
  • Knowledgeable about Professional Services Organization operations and technologies and preferably has experience in the Accounting or Financial Services industry
  • Experience as a project manager in a professional services environment, well versed in multi-channel technologies and cloud platforms, with an emphasis on the integration of these technologies with various systems such as ERP, Time and Billing, Business Intelligence, Budget and Planning and CRM
  • Proven experience operating autonomously and leading large-scale efforts across multiple teams and functions, with stakeholders in different disciplines across time zones
  • Strong understanding and implementation experience within process design, system architecture with the ability to define the system landscape, to identify gaps between current and desired end-states, and deliver a comprehensive integrated systems solution
  • Ability to communicate technical concerns and considerations to non-technical stakeholders
  • Skilled in conceptualizing creative solutions, as well as documenting them and presenting/selling them to senior management as required.
  • Expert understanding of and competency in applying project management principles and methodologies
  • Previous experience managing projects that delivers Information Technology infrastructure including computing, telecommunications, networking, data center, security, voice, and data communications
  • Resource planning, scheduling, and tracking skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and building strong relationships with stakeholders and teams across the firm
  • Project/program budget management and tracking expertise

Job Responsibilities
  • Involved in all aspects of the project life cycle, from ideation through the requirements analysis, design, implementation, and operations handover.
  • Responsible for leading research, analysis, design, proposing, and delivering solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies.
  • Solves for business problems - understands the WHY and drives the conversation with appropriate stakeholders and / or solution providers to focus on business requirement
  • Maintains a broad knowledge of current and emerging state of the system technologies, architectures, and products to develop system solutions consistent with the business objectives.
  • Responsible for documentation of business requirements, vendor assessment & selection, configuration review, test script development and change management of large-scale enterprise solution implementations.
  • Collect and document requirements from business users across multiple departments, identify dependencies, risks and firm-wide impact, work with IT and business subject matter experts to develop solutions for key strategic initiatives.
  • Lead Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) activities including the analysis and design of work-flows and repeatable business processes within the organization to dramatically improve customer service, implement best practices, cut operational costs, and increase market competitiveness.
  • Deliver projects that improve reliability, performance, and security of all infrastructure across all locations to produce service levels consistent with current and future business needs.
  • Organize executive summaries for updates of critical projects, pro-actively communicate with leadership and key stakeholders the team's plans, progress, results, and resource needs for projects / program assigned
  • Facilitate project core team meetings and decision making, ensuring alignment with project team members and other key business stakeholders.
  • Work with key project stakeholders to ensure effective coordination of activities and/or deliverables across functions
  • Participate in key operational activities such as budget planning process, project and portfolio upkeep and vendor contract reviews
