The Senior Manager is accountable for the performance of the engineering portfolio, ensuring high quality technical design packages and commercial proposals with focus on safety and customer satisfaction and is responsible for assigning work packages, forecast resource needs, and controlling costs. The Senior Manager Biogas Systems Engineering manages the process to design and engineer systems to meet customer requirements for Biogas upgrading, effectively managing a team of engineers and the lines of communication between the engineering team, the technical sales teams and the customers. The Senior Manager is accountable for the performance of the engineering portfolio, ensuring high quality technical design packages and commercial proposals with focus on safety and customer satisfaction and is responsible for assigning work packages, forecast resource needs, and controlling costs.  In addition, this role has responsibility for developing and executing a strategy for continuous improvement for the department. 


 


Duties and Responsibilities 



  • Develop, promote and maintain professional relationships with key landfill market customers through prompt creative solutions

  • Manage the overall engineered systems portfolio including budget estimate, cost competitiveness and delivery time.

Required 



  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical Discipline (Preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering)

  • Minimum 10+ years of equipment/technology commercial, business development and/or engineering experience

  • Minimum 3+ years managing a commercial or technical team

  • Demonstrates strong process and operational safety behavior at all times 

  • Excellent communication skills to be utilized not only with external customers, but also internally with other groups (eg., management, Solutions Development, OTF, Advanced Technology, Systems Engineering, etc.)

  • Demonstrated business acumen

  • Must be willing to take the initiative and be strongly self-directed


 


Preferred 



  • MBA is highly desirable
