GL&D Vocational Rehab Consultant
Job Summary
Supports Disability Claims Operations via vocational assessments, provider outreaches, transferable skills analyses, labor market surveys, and ergonomic assessments.
Responsibilities
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Performs vocational assessments and maintains ongoing communications with case managers, providers, clinicians, and employers to facilitate transitional work releases or accommodations
Applies advanced skills to evaluate physical and/or mental restrictions and limitations, functional abilities and vocational data to assess alternative work options and employability, supports an ergonomic stay-at-work program, and conducts vocational rehabilitation case advisement for LTD disability claims and STD claims if applicable per account service agreement.
Partners with STD & LTD claim managers and clinicians on co-managing disabled employees on return to work opportunities
Serves as a subject matter expert to claim staff on ADAAA accommodations
Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Masters Degree Vocational Rehabilitation CRC
Preferred Certifications CDMS, CCM, or CVE Specialist
Minimum Required 3-5 years of vocational rehab work experience
Preferred 2+ years of LTD or STD experience as a rehab consultant
Preferred Certified in ergonomic assessment
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
