Our Consulting practice seeks an experienced Accounting/Financial compliance professional with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance experience to join our Risk Consulting team in our New York office. As a Senior Consultant in this practice you work as part of a consulting team and are expected to play a significant role in client engagement delivery in AML compliance that impact the banking industry, along with maintaining additional internal (non-client) responsibilities.
The preferred location for this position is our New York area office. However this position can take place in any of our U.S. office locations.

Professional Responsibilities:
Client Service and Delivery
Have a general understanding of the Banking industry and its business needs
Exhibit a good understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and OFAC processes, risk assessments and related controls for improvement
Deliver exceptional client service as part of an engagement team with general supervision
Participate in client and internal presentations, work product, report development and deliverable creation
Communicate ideas to clients in a clear and understandable manner
Demonstrate sound judgment and effective decision making in order to mitigate risk
Ability to identify risks, internal controls to mitigate risks, and opportunities for improvement to clients' business operations
Project Management
Complete assigned tasks within scope through effective time management initiatives
Understand engagement and project planning
Contribute to the work planning and status reporting on assigned engagements
Recognize, research and participate in the resolution of client engagement issues
Perform a careful self-review of work to ensure individual quality control
Business Development and Firm Growth
Assists in proposal and business development opportunities as needed
Participates in internal efforts to build methodologies and create business development materials
Participate in recruitment and staff orientation programs for other consulting professionals
Professional Growth
Develop and maintain expertise in technical & industry areas
Develop an understanding of all GRC offerings and tools required by the professional services delivered
Maintain ongoing continuing professional education (CPE) requirements and development
Work towards obtaining an approved certification that relates to technical areas
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance or a Business-related field of study
Advanced degrees (e.g. Master level) are preferred
Professional credentials and certifications (CPA, CIA, etc.) is valued
4-8 years of relevant work experience in consulting with a CPA firm, a professional services firm or a national consulting firm
Prior audit or internal audit experience is a plus
Exposure to financial services or the banking industry is a plus
Ability to proactively manage multiple commitments simultaneously
Proficient in Microsoft Office tool (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Working knowledge of MS Project, Access, & Visio a plus
Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
Experience building effective relationships with clients and colleagues
Ability to travel to client locations as needed
