The Opportunity:
Our Design Engineering Supervisor plans, organizes, and directs the H2I Group, Inc. Design Engineering Team in their respective regions. They monitor activities to meet company objectives for a quality customer experience relating to the development, design, and communication of project specific information. The Design Engineering Supervisor is also focused on continuous improvement in design quality, consistency, and department productivity. The Design Engineering Supervisor works cooperatively with the other company Design Engineering Supervisors to achieve H2I Group, Inc.’s objectives.
Responsibilities:
Oversees the Design Engineering team in a supervisor role, by coaching and mentoring the team to improve skills and processes which are critical to add value to our products
Works with Operations Manager and fellow Design Engineering Supervisors to assign new projects as needed and monitor workload of their team.
Determines, develops, and implements policies, procedures and programs relating to the Design Engineering team
Manage keys projects, processes & performance reports, data, and analysis
Review all drawings done for their division(s) to police standards and ensure modeling/drafting is done properly
Example: If the Midwest does a project for the Southwest, the Midwest is still responsible for the review of the drawings completed. Design Engineering Supervisors will still be drawing projects while supervising their team. If drawings need to be outsourced, the Design Engineering Supervisor for that team need to QC the drawings before they are sent to the PM
Maintains design content, procedures, creation, and approval management utilizing relevant software in collaboration with the other Design Engineering Supervisors
Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement for existing ones
Develops and implements methods and procedures for informing management of project statuses with fellow Design Engineering Supervisors. Some of these methods may be preparing records of expenditures, progress reports, research findings and staff conference summaries
Reviews and monitors quality & process improvements and new product development
Evaluates production costs and product quality
Modifies production to maintain and enhance profitable operation of the company
Works with the HR team in hiring new members of the Design Engineering staff, with approval from Operations Manager and Sr. VP of Operations

What We're Looking For:
Minimum of 4 years of relevant work and industry experience and experience within Autodesk products that may include, Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
Prior supervisory, team development and project management experience is preferred but not required
Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills, in a professional environment
Ability to learn the specification and technical details of the products H2I Group, Inc. distributes as well as those of our competition
Must possess a high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm and confidentiality
Must be technological savvy
Some travel may be required but will be primarily local or within the same region
Foster positive teamwork relationships with vendors and fellow employees
Must be a self starter with ahigh level of integrity, professionalism, dependability, enthusiasm and ethical judgement
Travel Required:Periodic travel to job sites as required, approximately once per month around the Pacific Northwest and the Rocky Mountain area.
