Job Description:

Overview:

We are looking for a full time Social Work Supervisor. This position will be a working Social Worker for a portion of the job as well as cover the administrative duties of a Supervisor for the remainder of the job. This is a 0. 8 FTE - 1. 0 FTE position.

Responsibilities Include:


  • Oversee the delivery of clinical social work services and provide supervision to social work staff within a specific program area.

  • Serve in a significant leadership role for the department and hospital.

  • As a senior clinician, provide advanced clinical social work services to children with acute and chronic illness, their families, the staff of Seattle Children's Hospital and the community in a managed care environment.

  • Lead in the promotion of culturally appropriate family-centered care and wellness of patients and families by identifying, interpreting, and reducing psychosocial factors contributing to illness.

  • Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals for staff.

Requirements

Required Education/Experience:
- Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. - Five (5) years of post master's experience, to include: experience in crisis intervention with children/families; multidisciplinary team experience; pediatric experience; experience supervising social work practice. - Paid or internship experience in health care or a clinical setting focusing on children and families. - Ability and flexibility to work evening, night, and weekend shifts as well as provide on-call coverage.
Required Credentials:
- Washington State Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
Preferred:
- Multilingual - Multicultural - Protective Services experience - Mental Health experience
