This Carpenter/Dock Builder works at a Journeyman level of skill in building and installing concrete formwork for a marine dock facility.

Essential Job Functions

• The use of different Electrical Power Tools, i.e. skill saws, roto hammers, band saws, drill motors, chop saws, and carpentry hand tools


• Concrete form work, rigging and setting pre-cast Concrete segments, tying rebar, In Bed Installation, concrete placement and finishing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Heavy Civil and/or Marine Construction experience


• Strong skills in lay-out, framing, the proper and safe use to carpentry and concrete finishing tools.


• Ability to understand drawings


• Prior knowledge of different concrete form systems


• Ability to attain a high level of safety and motivation to learn and apply their skills both as a craft person and a leader.


• Knowledge on crane signs and rigging usage-handling

Physical Requirements

• This Position requires individuals to work outdoors, continuously being exposed to different weather elements, particularly working on the water.


• Must be able to work at elevated heights and platforms, handle the weight of the rigging we use to secure loads to cranes, be aware of body positioning at all time.


• Bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing and lifting to 50 lbs. are all essential movement to be performed when working.

Certification/Licenses (preferred)

• TWIC


• Osha 10


• NCCCR Rigger Certificate


• First Aid
