Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Two years college or equivalent preferred.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Surgical Services or Sterile Processing required.
Experience using Lawson procurement software preferred.

Order supplies and equipment for Operating Room Supply (ORS) ensuring costs are allocated to correct cost center.
Maintaining a customer fill rate of 95% on all stock items to ensure sufficient supplies for patients.
Provide assistance managing inventory and placing orders.
Ensure procurement system is regularly updated.
Maintain appropriate inventory levels for assigned areas, placing orders as needed.
Perform daily inventory checks.
Identify and return any old stock or excess items.
Track and investigate inventory variances and work with department to resolve.
Review demand patterns, days of inventory on hand (DIOH) and inventory returns to establish optimal asset and expense amount.
Rotate stock regularly to avoid stock being outdated.
Remove outdated and recalled inventory, ordering replacement items as needed.
Perform inventory cycle counts on ORS inventory on a quarterly basis.
Monitor and determine inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
Ensure all inventory adjustments are accurate and complete by the end of fiscal reporting period.
Deliver requested supplies and equipment in a timely manner to patient care units and providers.
Reviews items to ensure all items are correctly mapped to proper cost center and general ledger code.
Maintain Case cart system.
Enters all inventory requests in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain fill rate of all stock items or acceptable substitute based on established criteria.
Communicate product delivery issues to departmental contacts.
Create and maintain custom bar code labels database for labeling supplies.
Print labels for new or changed products.
Troubleshoot handheld scanner (HHT) issues used in distributing supplies.
Maintain documentation on repair work done on scanners.
Work with internal teams on testing and maintenance problems.
Train staff on scanner use and procurement system based on job duties.
Produce monthly inventory reports adjusting content based on audience.
Provide end user procurement system support.
Participate in continuous improvement projects.
Develop and maintain documentation on procurement system operation.
Provide recommendations to solve problems.
Ensure accurate and compliant records of sterilizations are maintained.
Perform all sterile processing duties.
DECONTAMINATION - Sort, disassemble, clean and disinfects contaminated instruments and equipment to render items safe for handling using established procedures.
ASSEMBLY/PREPARATION - Prepare instruments and other reusable equipment based on provider preferences.
STERILIZATION / BIOLOGICALS - Load and unload items to be sterilized according to established procedures.
RECORD KEEPING / TRACKING - Maintain accurate records of sterilization and departmental equipment.
DISTRIBUTION - Distribute instrument sets to departments in a timely manner based on scheduled procedures.
