OpenText is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the TeamSite product-management team and help our customers deliver personalized and engaging omnichannel experiences. OpenText TeamSite brings together content, process, and applications to create and deliver optimized and personalized interactions across the full customer journey, from awareness to purchase to advocacy and recommendation.
As a Principal Product Manager, you will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to become a market expert who understands the unique needs of our customers, and you will convert that knowledge into innovative features that enhance customer experiences. The successful candidate must have exceptional problem-solving skills, strong business judgment, and demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams.
We're looking for individuals who can legally work out of the USA - San Francisco Bay Area or out of Canada, ideally near Richmond Hill, Ontario
You Are Great At
Working closely with engineering, user experience, QA, and other teams to drive product direction and ensure consistent delivery and quality of new releases
Writing detailed product requirements, user stories, and end-to-end use cases for major features and enhancements
Communicating complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
Being a tireless advocate for customers, translating their needs into clearly defined product requirements
Participating in one or more scrum teams as a product owner to define goals, set priorities, and handle backlog
Developing a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, and identifying key areas of competitive differentiation
Researching and identifying new opportunities for our business to innovate on behalf of our customers
Making data-driven decisions while showing the willingness and ambition to take reasonable risks when the available data is ambiguous
Collaborating with product marketing and sales teams to deliver products and features to market
Defining and tracking success metrics for the features you launch
What It Takes
At least 10 years of defining, driving, and delivering great user experiences in software products, with at least 5 years of experience as a product manager for enterprise or SaaS-based products preferred
Experience with complex applications used by a broad set of user personas (in our case: developers, marketing professionals, content engineers)
Ability to collaborate and influence effectively across cross-functional teams
Solid understanding of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, robotic process automation, and deep learning
Ability to prioritize complex and often competing deliverables and develop creative strategies to maintain progress toward business objectives despite various roadblocks
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify and articulate complex ideas in presentations and discussions with business and technical staff
Comfortable presenting to audiences of all levels, including senior executives and key customers
Experience working with teams that employ Agile software-development methodologies
Accustomed to working in an international environment involving multiple development sites across different time zones
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; MBA and/or software development experience a plus
Experience with digital experience platforms, web-based content-management solutions, or marketing-automation platforms a plus
