What you will do

This is your chance to gain real-world experience in the legal department of a Fortune Global 500 company. Johnson Controls is seeking an enthusiastic Scholars to work with its in-house legal team for 10 weeks during the summer of 2021. The interns will have exposure to various aspects of a global corporate legal environment, including contract review and negotiation, litigation, labor and employment, intellectual property, data privacy, compliance, investigations, and mergers and acquisitions. We are a highly collaborative team, so the interns will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects. This is a paid position.

How you will do it

• As a member of the Johnson Controls Legal Department, you will work closely with members of the in-house legal team as well as with business professionals across the enterprise and outside counsel.


• Your responsibilities may include substantive research and writing, negotiation, document review, and risk analysis.

Qualifications

Required

Candidates must be full-time law students that will complete their first year of law school immediately before the internship. The internship is for the summer of 2021.
