The International Mission Board, a nonprofit religious organization, is hiring Summer Camp Student Mobilizers for places in Oklahoma, Texas, and Arkansas!

Hours:
35 hours per week
Rate: $13.00/ hr

Dates: May 24 – July 17, 2021

Location: Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas

Responsibilities:

Serve as a representative of the IMB at a summer camp for the purpose of mobilizing students and adults to engage in IMB missions opportunities. This includes:


  • Leading missions seminars and teaching times for campers, student leaders, and camp staff to inspire and equip them for international missions service.


  • Staffing a missions resource booth during set times to engage students and leaders in conversations about missions.


  • Scheduling appointments and conducting coaching conversations with students, church leaders and camp staff.


  • Follow up via email, social media, or phone calls with interested student leaders and students providing excellent customer service and information to facilitate engagement with IMB.


  • Document conversations and activities in IMB's customer relationship management system and submit weekly progress reports.


  • Assisting camp staff with other duties as assigned to allow greater opportunity and access to engage campers.


Requirements:


  • Availability to serve for eight (8) weeks beginning on May 24, 2021.


  • Availability to participate in an all-day (8 hour) training session on Monday, May 24 2021.


  • Missions experience serving internationally with IMB


  • A passion for mobilizing students for missions.


  • Knowledge of IMB and Southern Baptist Convention (SBC)


  • Active membership in an SBC church.


  • Physical ability to live and work in a residential summer camp (dormitory or similar housing, moderate walking)


  • Strong verbal communication skills, with ability to connect with high school and college students


  • Strong computer skills in using Outlook, database software, and communication platforms like Microsoft Teams.


  • Good organizational and follow up skills.
