Senior Digital Banker at First PREMIER Bank in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

First PREMIER Bank is looking for an experienced banker to be responsible for processing online loan and deposit applications, managing new customer acquisition, developing relationships with referral sources and executing cross- and-up selling strategies for digital customers, and capitalizing on business development opportunities. The role is primarily behind the scenes with limited face to face customer interactions. We are looking for someone who has strong communications skills as you will need to form working relationships with customers via phone or digitally. The position will also work closely with other business units and product managers to serve the needs of digital prospects and customers, overseeing and optimizing the digital banking experience.

Compensation and Schedule

Starting wage is determined based on prior work experiences.

Full-time Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Training Schedule:

Paid on-the-job training!


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Client acquisition and client retention through the Digital Channels.

  • Responsible for providing digital support and guidance to First PREMIER’s digital customer base. Customer support will be provided through the digital communications received directly from customers as well as call backs to the customer.

  • Monitors and tracks accounts opened online and communicates any concerns to management.

  • Maintains a high level of knowledge of the First PREMIER’s digital service and products.

  • Oversees daily digital banking operations, including monitoring system functionality, efficacy, processing volumes, quality, transaction processing, and volume, ensuring daily work volume is completed prior to processing deadlines.

  • Manages the processing of online loan applications, managing internal handoffs and signoffs as needed with speed and professionalism.

  • Demonstrates and maintains a sufficiently strong, detailed understanding of First PREMIER Bank’s products and services.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Banking/Finance or related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of banking experience, specifically in the areas of sales and lending strongly preferred.

  • 1+ years of demonstrated experience working with digital banking products and services.  

  • Most qualified candidate will exhibit the ability to work independently and have an attention to detail.

  • Basic computer skills and proficiency of the English language.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
