Key Requirements:
Experience with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience working within WMS/ERP system (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal
Comfort with communicating with all levels of the organization
Experience managing relationships with carriers
Balances team and individual responsibilities and contributes to building a positive team culture
Ability to read and interpret documentation
Ability to lift and carry packages up to 35 lbs
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 plus years related experience and/or training.
Top candidates will have:
5+ years of experience working in a global shipping environment
5+ years of experience working with carriers to provide best customer service
Experience coordinating shipment of hazardous materials to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations
Understanding of International Shipping Requirements including:
Preparation of commercial invoice and packing lists
AES/Shippers Export Declaration
Experience working with Oracle WMS
Ability to digest information and present in a clear concise manner
Excellent communication and math skills
Comfort in communicating with a wide variety of stakeholders
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Prepare commercial invoice, packing slip, and Automated Export System/Shippers Export Declaration if over $2,500 in value
Quote expedited, truckload and international shipments
Answer emails and phone calls in a timely and professional manner
Organize and coordinate hazardous materials by ensuring proper markings and labeling and in compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations
Facilitates claims process by providing clear and timely information
Serve as liaison between Order Management and transportation providers to resolve customer service issues
Process orders through warehouse management system and Digital Shipper
Utilize carrier sites and applications to processes shipments
Notarize Country of Origin Declarations
Provide backfill for Shipping Lead
Investigate and report customer service misses related to carrier failures
