Role Details
As an enabler of Enterprise Strategic Priority #3 (Medicare Advantage Growth), the Cornerstone program will drive a competitive administrative cost structure while delivering consistent, compliant operational performance. This will be accomplished through the implementation of a new operating model – transformation across people, process, and technology.
The User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Lead is responsible for developing and executing testing to ensure results align to expectations. Responsibility will include the development of test automation, a new functionality to be leveraged within the program and post-program operations to ensure a high quality of system performance.
This individual will work with business, technology, and solution teams to develop and execute a UAT strategy and plan and ensure that all visions on the UAT strategy and plan are aligned. This individual must possess strong understanding of business processes and capabilities, both functional and end-to-end, and prioritize testing of critical business processes and capabilities. This individual will be responsible for directing the work of User Acceptance Testers and providing coaching as needed.
Primary Responsibilities
Work with the team to plan and execute user acceptance testing (including parallel and ORT)
Oversee testers’ work throughout test plan development and test execution to ensure that testing is on time and within budget and quality
Measure and monitor progress and results during each test to ensure that the product is tested and validated on time and within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectations. Corrective action as needed.
Ensure the team follows the testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology as agreed to
Facilitate continuous improvement, including identification and implementation of test automation
Perform detailed analysis on potential business solutions and assist with implementation
Lead problem solving and coordination efforts between various business units based on feedback from UAT
Technical Skill Requirements
Expert-level knowledge of project and change management and associated methodologies, techniques, processes, and approaches (e.g. Project and Portfolio Management Methodology – PPM)
Knowledge of Agile principles
Budget, cost and profitability management skills
Knowledge of resource management tools
Credibility as a senior-level project leader
Strategic Thinking: Ability to juggle multiple goals and deadlines in the context of the big picture
Team Leadership & Development: Ability to mentor, coach and effectively transfer expertise to others
Facilitation, Negotiation & Problem Resolution Skills: Ability to build a strong network and relationships at executive levels with technology and solutions, customers and vendor groups
Qualifications (i.e., preferred education, experience, attributes)
Medicare and Medicaid health plan experience preferred
User test acceptance leadership experience required
Regression testing and automated user acceptance testing development and implementation experience required
Deep business experience in Claims, Provider, Billing, Membership, and Fulfillment functions
Understanding of user stories and acceptance criteria
Ability to create / review, track and report results of a test plan
Test case documentation and execution
Strong communication and collaboration

~ 20-25% of travel may be necessary
