Steam Plant Operators will operate and maintain steam boilers and associated equipmenSteam Plant Operators will also monitor and report out on system health of compressors, cooling towers, pumps, fans, etc.

• Able to support off-shift, weekend, and holiday maintenance activities. • Troubleshoot and makes minor repairs to high pressure boilers, combustion controls, emissions monitoring equipment, auxiliary equipment, and compressed air system and equipment. • Monitor meters, gauges, and SCADA to verify operational parameters and adjust distribution, settings, and flow rates according to standard protocols and steam requirements • Monitor and report out on equipment deviations for Steam, Air, and Building Management Systems • Dispatch on-site or on-call facilities maintenance personnel if critical equipment alarms occur. • Actively participates in safety initiatives to support overall safety program. • Recognizes operational problems and reports them to proper authority, takes corrective measure to limit and control equipment damage and personnel injury in case of boiler or equipment emergency. • Performs preventive maintenance and assists in periodic overhauls, cleaning, major repairs, and installation and repair of steam lines. • Cleans boilers, equipment, and areas of plant as assigned though CMMS.

Qualifications
•High school diploma • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including on-call shifts • Experience in operated a control board, powerhouse, or steam plant a benefit • Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing. • 12-hour shifts (6PM-6AM) • Weekend and Holiday Coverage • Rotating weekly schedule
