Our Tax Manager will be responsible for performing domestic income tax filings and supporting other members of the Tax Department to ensure compliance and minimize the tax burden of the company. The position collaborates with the Tax Director, Managing Director of tax, internal departments, and interfaces with external tax advisors and auditors.

The Opportunity:


The primary job opportunities include:



  • Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns.

  • Prepare and analyze apportionment rates and supporting data.

  • Prepare monthly analysis of all state income and franchise tax accounts.

  • Assist with calculations of estimated tax payments.

  • Follow up on state tax notices and support income tax audits.

  • Collaborate with accounting, legal, internal business units, as well as outside tax consultants to accomplish company objectives.

  • Assist with indirect tax processes.

  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies including domestic and international cash tax management, corporate transactions, and other tax considerations related to corporate strategy.

Requirements:  We require the ability to pass a drug screen. Candidates must also have the ability to perform the requirements of the job with or without accommodations.

Experience

Required
  • 4 - 6 years: Prior public accounting experience or direct industry experience
Preferred

  • Ability to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions from it

  • Experience preparing and filing income tax returns

  • Experience with tax software, for example, CCH Access, Workpaper Manager/Engagement

Education

Required
  • Bachelors or better in Accounting or related field
Preferred
  • Masters or better in Taxation
