The position is for a Staff SW Development Engineer to develop and sustain Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) systems. You will understand Bluetooth LE communication technology. You will have developed solutions with multi-mode wireless chipsets and also have experience with embedded system and software design for peripherals and handsets. You will have expert knowledge in Smartphone hardware and software for wireless communications. As part of a team, you will implement and test high reliability CGM wireless connected systems.
You will work to engineering project plans collaborating with internal R&D and customer service orgroups, along with our Quality, Operations, Regualtory and Clinical organizations. You will document your engineering solutions, following the relevant quality processes to meet Dexcom business needs.
Functional Description: Technical Individual Contributor
Plans, designs, develops and tests software systems or applications for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools. Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
