Responsibilities

Draper seeks to find a detail oriented, self-starter to join the Special Programs analyst team.  A successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and exhibit critical thinking with problem solving and reasoning skills.  The candidate must be proficient with excel and able to navigate fast paced dynamic deadline driven environment.  The candidate will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to multi-task and work collaboratively as part of a team.

 

Essential Functions

    The candidate will support portfolio leads with financial and administrative matters to include preparing cost proposals, financial reports, budgets, schedule, and performance variance analysis.
  • Support program managers for assigned programs to include participation in program kick-off meetings, communicate program budget and actual cost incurred, and contractual requirements to project team.

  • Ensure adequate project funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, preparing financial forecasts, and proactively escalating potential issues to Program Management and/or Business Manager.

  • Attend various monthly and weekly meetings with program office & engineering staff to advise on financials.

  • Provide operational support by opening project charge codes, troubleshooting system errors, and assisting with other ad-hoc issues.

  • Accurately update and maintain ERP systems, including business pipeline, project lifecycle management, and budgeting systems.

  • Monitor the completion of project deliverables and ensure compliance with customer requirements on assigned programs.

  • Collaborate with the Reston leadership team to manage processes and execution of operational tasks involving facilities, procurement, and property etc.

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications


  • BA or BS required, 0-2 yrs. experience

  • Must be confident in ability to work independently with a high level of accuracy and productivity.

  • Excellent excel and financial analysis skills

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. 

  • United States Citizen- Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance a plus.
