Overview

The Performance and Tuning Expert will work on a large project team supporting the Army Shared Services Center (Army SSC) organization located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The Army SSC provides capability support services to all Army Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) logistics and financial systems. Capability support includes system sustainment, sustainment modernization, and enhancement activities such as system design, development, testing, and deployment. Specific tasks include functional analysis, help desk, cybersecurity, quality assurance, configuration management, database administration, portal and support tool management, SAP BASIS support, technical services, interface/middleware maintenance, and system monitoring.

The Performance and Tuning Expert manages the modeling of applications throughout the development lifecycle. Leads design and development activities within specific application software language. Possesses extensive knowledge of application modeling principles, concepts and techniques. Interprets requirements, performs highly complex analyses and presents options and recommendations to obtain desired results. Develops advanced technological ideas and guides development into a final product. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Current National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI) and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• 10 years SAP technical/ development experience in:
  
  
  • Developing cross application RICEFW objects in complex ERP programs
  
  
  • Resolving cross application and cross platform technical issues
  
  
  • Performance tuning considering the program logic and database considerations
  
  
  • Developing cross application utilities to improve consistency, performance and avoid errors
  
  
  • Knowledge of technical integration with BASIS, middleware, functional and infrastructure teams
  
  
  • Performing release /outage planning and execution
  
  
  • Performing monitoring and resolution of critical system alerts
  
  
  • Supporting multi-tier SAP landscape and manage transports across the landscape
  
  
  • Mentoring developers and analysts and perform technical reviews
  
  
  • Managing security role content for system support resources across all environments
  
  
  
  


• 4 years of experience in:




• Managing transports in landscape


• Technical infrastructure design, development and support


• Performance management and troubleshooting


• Developing plans/procedures and processes for development


• Generating system level reporting and metrics


• BASIS Support




• Familiarity with Federal regulations (FFMIA, PII)
