Overview

The IT / Desk Support resource will work on a large project team supporting the Army Shared Services Center (Army SSC) organization located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. The Army SSC provides capability support services to all Army Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) logistics and financial systems. Capability support includes system sustainment, sustainment modernization, and enhancement activities such as system design, development, testing, and deployment. Specific tasks include functional analysis, help desk, cybersecurity, quality assurance, configuration management, database administration, portal and support tool management, SAP BASIS support, technical services, interface/middleware maintenance, and system monitoring.

The IT / Desk Support conducts hardware analysis and specification related to software applications and systems. Applies knowledge of terminology, usage, and operating characteristics of hardware components for configuration and installation activities. Provides expertise in hardware to optimize load, execute, store, and retrieval of application programs/files.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

    Security+ certification
  • Ability to support desktop, phone, printers, fax and other IT equipment and applications

  • Strong customer service skills and personality as this is a “help desk” type role where the individual will be troubleshooting IT issues.

  • Strong background with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office (to include Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio).

  • Previous experience with configuration of network printers, scanners and drives.

  • Past IT support of some kind in an organized environment.

  • Ability to take direction and implement policy from the over-arching IT Network support Team

  • Ability to work under pressure with over 200 users needing assistance.

  • 3-5 years relevant experience in a user support environment

  • Current, active Secret clearance preferred, eligibility to acquire and maintain a security clearance required.
