Position Summary:
The Respiratory Care Practitioner transport is responsible for the delivery of skilled respiratory care modalities and interventions to designated patient populations with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities, which requires the use of advanced practitioner skills to intervene in complex patient care situations. This position requires specialized training and experience to perform independent, professional respiratory care, ventilator management, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation of care, including the establishment of therapy and treatment objectives, and the review of care based on the age and needs of the patient. This position operates independently, under limited supervision.

Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years current I & IV NICU or PICU experience required, with current experience in both areas preferred

Pediatric/Neonatal Transport experience strongly preferred

This is flight and ground transport, adherence to a maximum body weight of 225lbs is required

Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist (RT)/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the State of Washington

RRT through NBRC required

Current CPR, BLS, PALS and NRP certification required prior to start
