JobDescription:

The Director of Project Financewill provide oversight andmanagementto current Project Financestaff. Responsible for general day to day project financework products of the team with direct cyclical responsibilities.The Director willensure required resources and effective processes are in place to executeand meet deadlines onthe project finance goals and objectives. He or she will report/present project cost to management as wellas analyzing cost and schedulevariances and recommending corrective actions.The effective candidate will be a strategic business partner and trusted advisor, requiring clear communication, cross-functionalrelationships,andwill bring outstanding technical finance & accounting skills, strong financial stewardship, and a relentless drive to realize our mission.

Roles andResponsibilities


  • Support our employees andinternalclients with the highest degree of professionalism and teamwork while responding immediately to their needs and requests.


  • Prepare and distribute financial information and data within required deadlines and ensure that the information provided is concise, relevant, and understandable to assist leadership in making intelligent businessand programdecisions.


  • Works withAccounting, Contracts,Program Management,FP&A,Pricing,and the Business Unitsin solving complex issues.


  • Prepare and review monthly,quarterly,and annual variance analysis, in conjunction with theFP&Ateam for all areas of theBusiness UnitP&Land project performance



  • Review program and project financial reports; provide analysis and insight to ensure our financial resources are leveraged for maximum impact in our overall strategic plan


  • Budgeting and Forecasting responsibilitiesfor updating monthly Short-Term Forecast (STF) forRevenue, Gross Margin, Contribution MarginandNet Operating Profitwith varianceexplanations


  • Thorough understanding of budget, forecast expenditures, monitor actuals, and report outcome data for all task orders (i.e. Estimates to Complete (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EAC) analysis).


  • Assist in establishing short and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.


  • Identify relevant insights and compile analytical reports and forward-thinking business unit forecasts based upon financial trends that enable others to make sound decisions.


  • Develop, update and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Required Education/Experience:


  • Bachelor'sdegree from an accredited institution in Business, Finance,and Accountingor a related discipline;advanced degree preferred.


  • 12+ years ofprogressive financeexperiencein afinancial management, business management and/or project controlin a Professional ServicesEnvironment


  • 5+ years of supervisory or management experience



  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with executive leadershipat the Vice President Level and above


  • Supervise finance and operations staff including performance evaluation; develop staff capacity and facilitate professional growth


  • Strong working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)andCost Accounting Standards (CAS;Has a solid working familiarity with US government financial, contractual, and administrative regulations, policies and practices, and reporting requirements


Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes:

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suitein particularMicrosoft Excel


  • Working knowledge of theUnanet,Hyperion,Costpoint ERPand Cognos


  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal customers, management, and professionals in your organization.


  • Lead process improvement and reporting automation initiatives


  • Must a self-starter with ability to define tasking, manage workload from multiple sources, and independently resolve multifaceted situations


  • The individual must be a hands-on, detailed oriented professional



  • Ability to resolve complex issues, strong organizational skills, excellent oral and written communications skills, strong analytical andproblem-solvingskills, with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment


  • Strong knowledge and experience with project planning,scheduling,and execution.
