Engineer II, QA
Job Responsibilities:
- Be a good tester. Ensure that testing activities confirm applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.
- Participate in scrum and continuously drive efficiency
- Refine and review stories / requirements, design and develop tests, log defects, execute tests, analyze failures, & report results.
- Automate at the right level (UI vs API, integrated system vs. mocked etc.)
- Automate everything (tests, data management, environment, reporting etc.)
- Make recommendations for improvement of applications to programmers and software developers or engineers.
- Contribute to performance and scalability testing initiatives
Education:
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar field
Experience:
Required:
- 3-5 years' experience in web application testing and/or development.
- 3 plus years of experience in software quality assurance engineering.
- Strong knowledge of SQL
- Hands on working experience in Python or other development language
- Strong knowledge of automation frameworks like Selenium, Cucumber, Robot
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools
- Direct hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs, automated testing tools, and reporting software.
- Working knowledge of producing software in Agile environment
Preferred:
- Exposure to working in Cloud environment such as: AWS, Azure, etc.
- AWS technologies: Lambda, CloudWatch, SNS
