AFC Cable Systems, a part of Atkore International, currently has openings for 3rd Shift Machine Operator/Coilers in our New Bedford, MA facility. Most openings will be 3rd Shift (Midnight - 8am), Monday through Friday (occasional Saturdays may be required) however training may take place on any shift.

EARN UP TOA$500 BONUS ($250 AFTER 90 DAYS AND $250 AFTER 6 MONTHS).

Responsibilities include set up,operation, inspection and adjustment of large and/or heavy coiling equipment. This role requires lifting up to 70 lbs as well as pushing/pulling of coiling materials, completion of necessarypaperwork and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent education and experience strongly preferred but not required.


• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with loud noises, smellsand extreme temperatures at times.


• Basic Math skills required.


• Must have the ability to lift up to 70 lbs.


• Must be able to push, pull, bend, sit and stand without assistance.


• 
  Dependability, good attendance and strong work ethic required.


• Must have the ability to understand, and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.


• Ability to follow directions and complete work in a safe and efficient manner while producing a quality product.
