The Global Talent & Inclusion team creates leading-edge practices and programs around talent and inclusion for Mattel. including succession planning, performance management and career development, and talent development, which encompasses leadership, hi-potential and organization development. We love to bring creative solutions to employees, leaders, and organizations to help them achieve their goals.


The Opportunity:

Mattel is seeking a Manager, Talent Development to join our Global Talent & Inclusion Team. You will deliver dynamic practices and programs, including career, creative, and management development. You will partner with stakeholders across the business to design, develop, and implement professional development programs for Mattel's world-wide headquarters in El Segundo. Through your support of talent initiatives, you will enable high performance, engagement, and growth.

What Your Impact Will Be:

Manage the delivery of core programs such as:


  • New-hire onboarding

  • Management development

  • Online learning

  • Assessments and team interventions

  • High-potential development

  • Creativity & Innovation

  • Career development

Additionally, this role will:


  • Continually evolve Mattel University offerings by developing and delivering engaging learning solutions

  • Leverage current instructional design approaches to assess, create, and deliver customized solutions tied to key initiatives/client needs

  • Consult with our amazing designers with learning solutions to support creativity and innovation

  • Market training programs to employees to increase curriculum awareness

  • Conduct teambuilding and customized workshops

  • Serve as a resource for Career Development and Coaching

  • Project manage learning projects from needs analysis to deployment, taking into consideration the complexities of creating training for global audiences with common, but niched needs

  • Facilitate content, providing insights, best practices, real-world illustrations, stories, and examples of how to apply what is being learned to a variety of audiences


What We're Looking For:


  • Exceptional presence and ability to communicate clearly and effectively to leadership and creative audiences

  • Proven facilitation skills with experience designing and delivering management/leadership development programs

  • Strong influencing skills with a track record for building relationships. Experience delivering results in a highly entrepreneurial team.

  • Strong instructional design and visual storytelling skills, including creation of digital assets and materials to support learning

  • Flexibility, adaptability and resourcefulness to adapt to a constantly changing environment.

  • Ability to collaborate and build trusted partnerships

  • At least 5+ years of progressive experience in a Talent Development/L&D role with a leading business/organization

  • Experience organizing, prioritizing, coordinating, implementing, and managing multiple projects, tasks and teams

  • Experience supporting creative organizations a plus

  • Experience with 360 and development-based assessments such as: CCL Benchmarks, Hay ECI, MBTI, FIRO-B, Hogan, PDI Profiler, DiSC
