Group/Division

The Customer Engagement (CE) team is our field based, customer facing organization consisting of Technical Engagement Managers and Application Engineers. The team partners closely with our customers to provide a comprehensive portfolio of products, software, and expertise, to help customers manage yield throughout their fabrication process-from research and development to final volume production. Responsibilities of this group include maintaining strategic client relationships, partnering with our sales team in identifying and closing sales opportunities, ensuring our products meet performance capabilities & expectations, providing critical solutions for improved yield performance, and collecting requirements for future products by understanding customer processes and technology trends. Partnering with our sales organization and factory divisions, this diverse and dynamic team helps ensure alignment between customer needs and product offerings to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have patterning etch process and/or application experience with intimate familiarity in leading-edge semiconductor process tools, etch tooling, and process development.

The selected Applications Engineer will have the following responsibilities -


  • Solve customer high-value problems using etch patterning processing. This may include familiarizing oneself with commercial etch process S/W.

  • Work with our customers to develop applications for computational patterning and identify new applications to support both R&D and fab use-cases. Potential applications include rigorous OPC (optical proximity correction), optimizing patterning processes, and control of new patterning schemes.

  • Use etch process knowledge to develop customized etch patterning surface chemistry data by calibrating the data for various applications and validate the same including image-based metrology such as SEM images.

  • Guide product development of computational patterning and process control SW solutions for advanced semiconductor fabrication processes involving etch and deposition.

Qualifications

Semiconductor fabrication process background including developing etch and deposition processes for patterning applications.

Familiarity with processing hardware and typical process windows to optimize process performance is preferred.

Must be able to travel (up to 50%) for training and for the support of customers worldwide.

  • Ability to invent, develop and implement new algorithms and ideas

  • Comfortable with working on Linux platform

  • Hands-on experience with products such as Python, TensorFlow*

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) or work experience of 0 years , Master's Level Degree or work experience of 2 years , Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 3 years
